1. Tell us about the inspiration behind starting Organicule? How do you incorporate the principles of mindful living into your business philosophy and product offerings to promote a holistic approach towards well-being?
Organicule started as a result of our personal need. My husband & I have always been into the healthy & natural foods lifestyle. We used to consume these superfoods and had seen the benefits they brought to our lives. At first, we used to order them online from overseas or request family and friends to bring them back whenever they were travelling abroad. Eventually the process got very cumbersome and difficult, so we decided to see the options available locally. To our dismay, the organic superfood range in Malaysia at the time was extremely poor, the products that were available were awfully expensive and of very substandard quality. That is when we realized that there is a gap in the market and the idea of Organicule was born. We wanted to bring high quality, premium superfoods at a price point that is affordable to the Malaysian market, as we wanted to inspire Malaysians to be healthy and to break the myth that healthy means expensive as our mission is to ensure all Organiculers truly benefit from our superfoods.

Selfcare is definitely important and when one decides to invest in their health by getting Organicule products they have taken the 1st step towards selfcare. Creating recipes using Organicule superfoods or making a smoothie with Organicule superfoods is a form of self-care. Even doing a DIY mask at home & adding Organicule products is an important aspect of selfcare. Organicule is an environmentally conscious brand. We minimize our use of paper and even during events we go paperless. We do not use plastic cups or plastic bags. We also supply our products to zero waste store in bulk packaging so that we can support the people who are practicing the zero-waste lifestyle. As a brand we do have our limitations in terms of packaging as we must also consider the safety of the product, the shelf life & the cost. Keeping all these aspects in mind we chose HDPE food grade plastic jars for our retail packaging; they are of course not the most eco friendly packaging in the market but its 100% recyclable and it is the best we can do with the options available.

As business owners of a health & wellness brand, mindful living is an integral part of our lives. Personally, we focus a lot on personal nutrition and exercise which we feel is the best form of selfcare. This helps us be more active and motivated to put our best foot forward. Also, as a brand we believe in forging a long term relationships based on compassion and gratitude not only with our customers but even our suppliers and in our personal life which has really helped us in our business as our suppliers and vendor teams consider themselves as part of the Organicule family.
