A closer look at Malaysia
When it comes to the corporate world, brands have begun to tap into the well-being space. The world as we know it has changed post covid19 and we see a major shift in what consumers value and give importance to. In 2023, now more than ever mindfulness and well-being are given importance and are a strong influence on consumer purchasing decisions.
In today’s feature we explore Panasonic Malaysia and its recent launch of its new brand tagline ‘Create Today. Enrich Tomorrow’, as part of its continuous efforts to better champion solutions that emphasize the well-being of people, society and the planet. Panasonic has adopted a holistic approach to well-being by designing and introducing products that focus on inner, outer and spatial well-being. With its progressive approach, the brand is committed to enriching people’s everyday well-being through the use of technology to live a simpler, safer and healthier life.
Each word in its new tagline has a deeper meaning;
CREATE useful, high-quality products that improve people’s lives and make the world a better place. This is the essence of who Panasonic is.
TODAY customers need Panasonic to develop technologies and engineer solutions to improve their daily lives and their personal wellbeing. Panasonic delivers with relentless innovation and commitment to sustainability.

TOMORROW Panasonic will continue to enhance its products, services, and solutions to help its customers lead their best lives and to help the future environment.
Recently this commitment to individual wellbeing was reinforced with its launch of 45 New Future-Oriented Appliances across 9 categories in Malaysia covering Refrigerators, Water Purifier, Rice Cooker, Washing Machines, Home Showers, TVs, Headphone, Vacuum Cleaners and Ceiling Fan. This is part of their continuous endeavour to champion solutions that makes people’s lives simpler, safer, healthier, more enjoyable, more connected, and more productive.
In terms of green activities, Panasonic Malaysia is working to protect the global environment through the pillar of Carbon Neutrality and recently announced a partnership with GreenSteps Malaysia. It kicked off a community-inspired initiative focusing on creating low-carbon communities, in a residential area in Kuala Lumpur to support residents to take climate action through a ‘Food Waste to Wealth’ initiative. This initiative was launched by Kuala Lumpur Mayor Datuk Seri Hj. Mahadi bin Che Ngah, and the partnership sees Panasonic as among the first few corporates in Malaysia to adopt a whole community approach towards better waste management practices underpinned by nature-based community solutions while being data-driven.

Alongside this, as part of its commitment to strengthening sustainable practices, Panasonic Malaysia with the help of GreenSteps Malaysia has implemented a source separation system at its headquarters in line with the company’s global pledge to achieve net zero by 2050. This initiative involves employees taking climate action towards a greener future while enabling them to become advocates for a more sustainable future.
The strategic collaboration between Panasonic Malaysia and GreenSteps Malaysia addresses four United Nations Sustainable Development Goals – (11) Sustainable Cities & Communities, (12) Responsible Consumption & Production, (13) Climate Action and (17) Partnership for the Goals which are aligned to Panasonic’s long-term environmental vision to contribute to both the well-being of people and society as well as a sustainable global environment.
Further to this, Panasonic Malaysia has also developed a Home2Com Solution centre in Kuala Lumpur where it showcases how it has adapted its offerings and marketing to incorporate elements of health, well-being and conscious living across its products. At the Home2com centre people can experience how Panasonic products have evolved with well-being and health taking center stage. Customers can take a personalised product discovery tour and can experience for themselves the progress Panasonic is making to inspire consumers to live a healthier life. The solution centre covers three well-being areas – Inner well-being, Outer well-being and Spatial well-being.
